COURSE

This scenic course is approximately 5 kilometers/3.1 miles long. It starts at the Water Street Market in New Paltz. Runners and walkers will head south on Water Street, bear right onto Plains Road and follow it until it ends. Then make a sharp left onto the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail and head back to the Water Street Market, crossing Plains Road.

New Paltz Boy Scouts will be at the 1, 2 and 3 mile markers, providing runners and walkers with their times. The course map, which is above, will also be available for viewing at the event.

NOTE ABOUT THE COURSE: As this is primarily a fun event to raise money to provide food for area residents during the holidays and to give the runners and walkers a healthy way to start the holiday, race organizers decided it was not cost effective to have the course certified. While we will make every effort to ensure that the course is as close to 5K/ 3.1 miles as possible, and that the timers are in the correct locations, we cannot guarantee complete accuracy.
